Below is a photo diary of my robotics research workplaces and some of the platforms I have been using.

Figure: 2012, Keele University. The robotics arena at the School of Computing and Mathematics. The arena is 50 square metres and features a VICON motion tracking system that is used for tracking the absolute position of the robot during experiments.

Figure: 2005, University of Essex. The 100-square-metre circular robotics arena at the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering. The arena has a powered floor allowing robots to pick up charge while moving on it. The arena also features a VICON motion tracking system.

Figure: 2005, University of Essex. The Magellan Pro mobile robot. Most of my work at Essex was done with this robot.
